John Williams' The Five Sacred Trees

Guest conductor Anthony Parnther makes his Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Delta Classical Series debut with a program close to his heart. As a veteran Hollywood bassoonist, Parnther has played on many Star Wars soundtracks. He visits Atlanta to conduct a bassoon concerto by film legend John Williams (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jaws, etc.). Ever the visual composer, Williams' Concerto for Bassoon, titled The Five Sacred Trees, draws its inspiration from Celtic mythology.
