As a long-term Hollywood bassoonist, Anthony Parnther has played on many of the Star Wars soundtracks and visits Symphony Hall to conduct a bassoon concerto by film legend John Williams. Ever the visual composer, Williams’s Concerto for Bassoon, titled The Five Sacred Trees, draws its inspiration from Celtic mythology. The ASO welcomes an old friend, guest bassoonist Andrew Brady for the concerto.
